Utility Demand Response (DR)

At Pinnacle Energy, our goal is to make the cost of operating your building as low as possible while maintaining efficient operation, and occupant comfort. To this end, our team will do the following to implement a demand response program:

Demand Response (DR) occurs when electric utility providers request the customer to reduce their usage for a given time period that is characterized by a history of very high demand. This demand response is usually encouraged by instituting pricing incentives for participants. However, these programs can be voluntary (customer-controlled), or automated (utility-controlled). Typically, automated demand response (ADR) programs have larger incentives. Typically, cooling setpoints are increased and lighting levels are reduced during these high demand periods. Electric reduction can be combined with on-site power generation for even larger financial incentives.
