Energy Management & Modeling
At Pinnacle Energy, we want your energy supply to be consistent, and your energy management strategy to respond to changes in your local market as fast as those changes occur. On an ongoing basis our team will:
- Monitor and shop energy suppliers to allow your building to procure energy at the lowest possible cost
- Keep apprised of operational changes and anticipate you facility's needs to allow for a consistent supply of energy
- Assist in the implementation of adjustments to specific operations, to help you avoid large demand penalties
A properly planned and executed Energy Management strategy is the first step in managing the unpredictable cost associated with your building's energy consumption. In addition to achieving substantial energy cost and consumption savings, this strategy will help ensure a reliable supply of energy, reduce your building's level of carbon emissions, and mitigate risk.
Through this monthly service we strive to procure energy for your building at the most completive cost possible and help reduce the risk involved in fluctuating energy prices in the market.

Utility Demand Response (DR)
At Pinnacle Energy, our goal is to make the cost of operating your building as low as possible while maintaining efficient operation, and occupant comfort. To this end, our team will do the following to implement a demand response program:
- Ensure that involvement in any DR program does not compromise critical building operations or tenant comfort.
- Find the most appropriate utility program for your building while providing the largest incentive.
- Monitor your building's performance in regard to demand response participation to ensure the systems are properly reducing energy consumption.
- Find the best demand response control methods that has benefits for the buildings overall control systems.
Demand Response (DR) occurs when electric utility providers request the customer to reduce their usage for a given time period that is characterized by a history of very high demand. This demand response is usually encouraged by instituting pricing incentives for participants. However, these programs can be voluntary (customer-controlled), or automated (utility-controlled). Typically, automated demand response (ADR) programs have larger incentives. Typically, cooling setpoints are increased and lighting levels are reduced during these high demand periods. Electric reduction can be combined with on-site power generation for even larger financial incentives.
Benefits of Utility Demand Response: Financial incentives and improved system controls that make ADR possible
